Graduation
The final examination consists of a thesis prepared during the second year based on an original research project.
The subject of the thesis activity concerns a theme regarding the Physical Sciences and Technologies and their applications, consistent with the educational path of the figure of the physicist as stated on the Teaching Regulations of the Master’s Degree in Physics. The thesis must be written and discussed in English.
The student will present and discuss the results of this research activity before a committee appointed by the Director of the Department of Physics and Astronomy.
If successful, the student is proclaimed a Doctor of Physics. It is also possible to complete the master’s degree in a shorter time than the normal duration of the degree course (two years).
